Our goal was to create a flexible dining area that comfortably seats up to eight people while maintaining a small footprint. This design approach reflects classic design principles, ensuring the space remains open and inviting. The existing wooden china buffet, now painted a gentle blue-gray, enhances the overall colour scheme and adds a touch of timeless elegance.
Upon crossing the sleek, contemporary threshold of their recently purchased home, my clients were greeted by a minimalistic world of straight lines. The couple enjoyed the modern feel of the house, but they missed the warmth and comfort of traditional/classic design. They first sought out my assistance as a decorator to help bring classic and traditional elements back into the space.
Inspired by a series of paintings depicting meadows, the color scheme for this house captures the tranquil tones of green, yellow, rust, and blue.
