Manotick Timeless Makeover

Classic Design with a Contemporary Structure

Our goal was to design a flexible dining area that can seat up to eight people comfortably when necessary. At the same time, it should have a small footprint when in use so as not to take up too much room. The existing wooden china buffet, now painted a gentle blue-gray creates harmony with the entire color scheme.

Upon crossing the sleek, contemporary threshold of their recently purchased home, my clients were greeted by a minimalistic world of straight lines. The couple enjoyed the modern feel of the house, but they missed the warmth and comfort of traditional/classic design. They first sought out my assistance as a decorator to help bring classic and traditional elements back into the space.
Inspired by a series of paintings depicting meadows, the color scheme for this house captures the tranquil tones of green, yellow, rust, and blue.
